Subject: Are you ready to turn pro?

Hi Lovely Simplerista,

This is the final episode of my eight-part video series titled "The Natural Entrepreneur".

It's about Turning Pro. It's the number-one determining factor for being successful with your online business (or any other project for that matter) that I've seen and experienced.

Here's a personal story to illustrate how it works. It's deceptively simple, and crazy effective.

Growing up, I never learned how to cook. My dad never knew how to do more than frying an egg and a sausage, and that was about the level of my cooking skills when I left home. My first roommate was really concerned for me and my health, looking at what I ate.

A few years later, though, I met a wonderful woman whose mom was from the Italian part of Switzerland. She'd grown up with amazing cooking, and she taught me how to appreciate and taste food at a whole new level. I could still not cook, though.

But then in 2005, as I was about to have my first child, I decided that I wanted to take on cooking for our family. So I got some Jamie Oliver cook books, and I just got started. For about four years, I'd cook for my family every single day. The family had to eat, right?

Would you think that after cooking every day for four years I got pretty good at cooking?

Of course I did. I got to be a great cook!

For the first few years, I stuck to the recipes, but soon enough I was able to improvise and play and experiment and just use a recipe here and there for inspiration.

The same will happen with anything else you put your heart and mind into. Such as your online business.

The trick is to "turn pro".

Turning pro is what I did when I said "I'm going to make sure my family has a home-cooked meal to eat every day". I know they need to eat. I know I have to do this, no matter what I feel like today.

Amateurs only do it when they feel like it. Pros do it because it's their job.

That dosen't mean we overrule the small part of us that needs our love and that has reactions to things. We just take him or her by the hand, and comfort them, while we get on with our work. Because we're pros.

When you turn pro, you're guaranteed to make it work, one way or another. It'll likely still be a bumpy ride, but you're almost guaranteed to succeed at some level.

That is what today's video is about.

Savor it. Take it to heart. I guarantee it will change your life if you do.

Watch it now
