Hi Lovely Simplerista,

Time to Get that Book Written

We all know that writing a book can be a major boost for your business. In the fall, I attended a program called Best-Seller In a Weekend by Alicia Dunams. It was actually our very own Simplero family member Robin Green who told me about it, and I signed up. Now, I'll be honest and say that, (a) I was pretty skeptical of the "in a weekend" premise, and (b) I have NOT actually finished that book I'm writing - not during the weekend, and not in the months following. But I did learn a ton, and not just from Alicia's content, but also her energy, and that style of teaching - an intensive online workshop held over the course of a weekend.

She knows a lot about how the book market works, you'll get copy written for your cover, you'll get the title nailed, you'll learn new ways to produce content, inspiration for people to interview or ask for reviews or blurbs, and much more. Depending on what you've set out to do, it is possible to get your book pretty much finished during that weekend. It sounds crazy, but it's true.

It takes place around the third weekend of each month, and right now there's a half-off promo going on, so if you're interested, check it out. And it's a program that I can fully stand behind and support. You know I don't promote a lot of things. Alicia's legit. They're using Simplero now for their membership site, and I've been working with Alicia and her team over the past six months now.

There's a zero-cost webinar going on right now, which will give you a half-off discount if you want to attend the Best-Seller In a Weekend program.

Register for the webinar here with my affiliate link or with a "naked" link. No obligation.

But do it right away, because the discount runs out tonight.

Photography Without Money

I met Shantanu Starick at a conference last week. He's been traveling the world for 23 months now, trading photography for the things he needs, mainly food and lodging, clothes and equipment. So far it's taken him across five continents and had hime working for some amazing companies, including Behance, Tumblr, SquareSpace, and, of course, Simplero. He's staying at my apartment (actually, he's in the shower as I'm writing this), and we spent all day yesterday shooting photos. Tomorrow he'll be shooting Phoebe.

10 Tips for Dealing With Emotions

I've had to learn this the hard way. I used to just not feel anything. That didn't work so well. From I was about 8 till I was about 24, I don't think I ever cried. I was all buttoned up. Feelings could come in, but no feeling ever came out. Learning to feel and to relate to feelings has been a journey, and I learned quite a few things along the way.

New in Simplero

Simplero now auto-saves your email drafts, so you'll have them even if you accidentally close your browser window or your computer crashes. I know many who will appreciate that. It'll also show a word count and an estimation of how long your email will take to read as you're writing, so you know where you stand with that. Quite handy.

Spiritual Mentoring

I love working one-on-one with people. I don't do a lot of it, because it makes more sense for me to focus on my growing software business, but it's something that really nurtures me.

To see that shift when something that has been buried in the unconscious for years suddenly surfaces. Relief. Laughter. New possibilities. It's the little shifts that have the biggest consequences. We think we need to achieve this, or do that, only to realize the prize was somewhere else. We try to control life, instead of trusting it. Once those shifts happen, life can again enter and do what it does best: Surprise and delight us. Challenge us to be the best we can be. Our job, really, is just to open up deeper and deeper, to allow love to flow through our being.

If you're looking for help with campaigns, launching, selling more, achieving a specific outcome, how to use Simplero, or how to do something technical, this isn't it.

If you're looking to live more fully, to discover new aspects of who you really are, to align with your deepest truth, then this is definitely for you.

If you're interested, just reply to this email and let me know, and we'll take it from there.

With love,
-Calvin
