Subject: News from Simplero: Natural vs. Familiar, Auto-Capitalize Titles

Dear Lovely Simplerista

I started reading the book Freeing the Natural Voice last night, and a sentence in it stuck with me:

There is a vital difference to be observed between what is "natural" and what is "familiar".

I like to talk about "Natural Entrepreneurship". That's the distinction right there. There is this place that's ultimately natural, easy, flowing, in alignment with the forces of nature. But given our habits, our histories, our survival tactics, the things we've done to get to where we are, we may be a long way away from anything resembling "natural".

And changing those habits are going to feel weird for a while. Unfamiliar. Maybe even unnatural at first. But as we progress, it gets easier. It starts to flow. And we start to feel what's natural and what's not.

It's the process I've been going through in my life in general. As an entrepreneur. And now am going through as a musician and performer. These days I'm relearning how to breathe. And not for the first time, but with renewed awareness.

What Is Simplero and Why Do You Need It?

I never talk about this in my newsletters, and it would probably be a good idea to do. It's also one of the things I'm not that well equipped to talk about because I'm too close to my own product. But let me give it a shot:

If you're selling services, like coaching, or acupuncture, or ... anything, really ... and you're currently NOT selling any information products, then you have a challenge: To make more money, you have to either work longer or raise your prices. But if you instead package your most valuable information up as an information product, then you can sell that many times, and each sale dosen't take more of your time, hence your time no longer limits how much money you can make. So you definitely want to add information products to your business.

If you're selling information products, then Simplero is your best option for managing it, because it doesn't require you to manage 5 different systems, and it doesn't require you to hire a team of people just to figure out how to manage it, and it's not nearly as expensive as some of the other options out there.

I'll talk more about that next week.

New Features in Simplero

I finally got tired of guessing or using external services to figure out how to properly capitalize titles in English, so I built it right in to Simplero.

I'm loving it already.

Other than that, the past week mostly featured bug fixes and minor tweaks.

Random Links from around the Interwebs

Danny Iny, a marketing teacher whom I have tremendous respect for, is doing a live webinar workshop the day after tomorrow, where he teaches you how to build a successful business the only sensible way - by building your audience first. I know it'll be well worth your time. And it's free. So go sign up right now.

John Gruber's take on the Apple Watch. Seems pretty astute to me, keeping in mind I've never seen one in person. But I'm definitely getting the Apple Watch–I've had the Pebble for a few years, and it's proven the value of the category to me, now I'm looking forward to the Apple take on things. Plus my Pebble has been acting weird ever since it visited Burning Man.

I'm still looking for a Supporter in the Wealth Dynamics profile to help me really build out the Simplero company. Someone who can build a team, oversee marketing, sales, bring partners on board, and basically oversee everything except product and customer service, which are the two things I enjoy most. Please rattle your network.

Have a great week!
