News from Simplero: What Are You Committed To?

Lovely Simplerista,

I tend to talk a lot about commitment, because it's such a critical piece.

What are you committed to in your life? In your business?

Commitment is best done on process things, not outcomes. I commit to expressing my creativity. I commit to speaking the truth. I commit to expanding my capacity for love, for feeling good, and for having things go right for me, every day. Commitments of that nature.

Fall off the wagon? Just recommit. No guilt trip necessary, no shaming, no self-punishment, no self-criticism. None of that. Just notice that you got off track, and take a moment to recommit, and that's it.

It's so important that we take the time to think about what we're really committed to in all areas of our life: Health, relationships, business and finances.

Most of the time when there's a wobble in some area, it comes down to a lack of a clear commitment. When you notice that, stop and look honestly at what you're actually (unconsciously) committed to, and then choose what you want to commit to instead.

imagine-medium.jpgI've just spent a week with my kids, and one thing I noticed this time was how easy it was to get them to pitch in with practical stuff around meals and at other times. In the past it was often a struggle, and I can see now how back then I had an unconscious commitment to not being heard and not being respected. That would sometimes cause yelling and scenes and other unpleasantness. This time, it wasn't an issue, and it feels to me like a big part of that was due to my much clearer energy around it.

So when there's a wobble or struggle or turbulence of any sort, go back and revisit your deeper commitments, and take a moment to recommit to what you really want.

New Features in Simplero

Simplero now includes LinkedIn sharing buttons in places where we've long had Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ sharing.. A relatively small thing, but highly requested.

Hacked cameras and DVRs powered last weeks major internet outage. Thankfully it didn't affect us. Just a few weeks ago I linked to a story about how these types of devices were being used in an attack on Krebs (the site I just linked to), and that it would probably be used for something much bigger, because it's so easy and effective, and hard to protect against. That didn't take long. Hope they didn't get the idea from me!

High-end poker cheating devices. Fascinating!

Have a great week. Commit to it!

Lots of love,
