Dear Lovely Simplerista,

Back in 2007, I watched The Secret. Everyone was talking about it, and though I was skeptical, I had to see it for myself.

I was both intrigued and disgusted. Intrigued by the general idea, and disgusted by the focus on money and sports cars.

In the aftermath, I was particularly flummoxed by all the people making a living teaching other people how easy it is to manifest things using The Secret. If it's so easy to just manifest things, why don't you manifest it some other way, and teach this stuff for free or cheaply, right?

I'm not saying this stuff doesn't work. But it felt like something was out of whack, and for a long time, I'd all but given up on the whole thing, dismissing it as snake oil, and instead resorted back to my trusted old friends, "hard work", and "it's all on me".

Needless to say, that wasn't a fun place to be.

That's why it was so great when I finally came across Gay Hendricks, and his approach to manifesting things. It's the first time I've come across this in a way that actually makes sense, that matches my own intuition and experiences, and that I can apply and it works.

Today's video is about what I've learned about manifesting.

It's not so much that you can just sit and meditate, and things happen by themselves.

It's about clarity, removing the commitments and intentions that run cross to your desires, aligning yourself with the energy of what you really want, so that the Universe will have your back as you go about creating what you want to create.
