Subject: Feeling at home in yourself, in your business, and in the world

Dear Lovely Simplerista

So the snow just hit New York, and last week we rebranded as Simplero (from zenbilling), and the transition went surprisingly smoothly. Thank you all for your congratulations and your patience, for the few of you that had issues.

The rebranding is just the beginning, however. I have many great things in store for you in the coming months.

One of the things I've long known is important, but haven't practiced, is consistency in communications. I've written a bit here, a bit there, whenever I felt like I could find the time or had something important to say, hopefully both. That's a horrible strategy, so I'm going to change that. If you're in this business yourself, take note: Consistency is key. Own a day and time of the week, and show up consistently.

So from now on, this newsletter is going to go out Wednesdays at 9 AM ET, every week. And it's going to feature a video, an interview, a blog post, or something of the sort.

I'm going to be talking and writing about topics dear to my heart, and hopefully yours, too: About feeling at home in yourself, your business, and the world. I call it Natural Entrepreneurship.

Why? Well, entrepreneurship is actually pretty easy. We have some gift, some talent, that we want to share with the world. We use those gifts to create great products, books, services, and other works of art. We talk about our creations and other things we care about. And we offer something at a fair price.

But we complicate things. We make it hard. We don't see our own value. We're afraid to be seen. We're afraid of charging what we're worth. We're afraid of being successful, so unconsciously hold success at bay. We're afraid of failing, so we don't even try. We don't feel like we deserve success and love and happiness, so we sabotage it.

These are all different forms of self-aversion. Different ways we disown ourselves, or parts of ourselves. The solution is never to work harder, to buy more courses, to struggle more. The solution is always to soften, to open up, to find what part of ourselves we have rejected, and to embrace it with love.

These days, if you have a spare $100,000 lying around, you can buy a ticket to outer space and back. But the journey inwards, to the vast space inside of our own beings, that's priceless. And infinitely more scary. There's no price you can pay to get someone else to take that journey for you. It's on you. You have to be willing to take that journey yourself, no-one can make you or do it for you.

This work is what allows you to feel at home with yourself and in the world. Not feeling at home in either place is something I have a lot of experience with, which is why I'm so passionate about this work.

And of course there are strategies and things to learn and we still need to work effectively and on and on. But if we're busy rejecting parts of ourselves, then we're wasting our time with these things. They become ways to avoid dealing with the stuff that needs dealing with. We keep ourselves busy, so we don't have to feel or listen to ourselves. You're worth better than that.

I've recorded a series of seven videos about this topic in its many different variations that I'm aching to share with you.

The first video is available today, and is all about my concept of Natural Entrepreneurship

I hope you'll enjoy it!

With love,

-Calvin

PS. I'm going to be interviewed tomorrow for something called Heart Centered Business Bootcamp, which is an online gathering of around 20 luminaries who, like me, care deeply about, well, heart-centered business. Check it out, I think you'll like it.

I'll write you again in a few days to let you know when the interview is up.

PPS. I'm doing a webinar this Friday with Robin Green, an incredible acupuncturist with a specialty in kids, who has made over $60,000 on her very first online product ever, starting with a list of just 114! I for one can't wait to hear her story. Sign up for the free webinar here!
