Subject: What do you want for Christmas?

Dear Lovely Simplerista

Merry, merry Christmas!

I've never been a big fan of Christmas, but for some reason, this year, in New York, I really enjoyed it. Wherever you go, there are people selling Christmas trees along the sidewalks, the weather has (mostly) been very Christmasy with snow and cold weather (though this weekend it was 22 degrees centigrade... crazy!).

In my native Denmark, we celebrate Christmas on the 24th, with dinner, dancing and psalm singing around the tree, and then, of course, the presents.

I hope you've gotten what you wanted for your Christmas presents.

This week's video is about just that: Wanting.

I've always felt like I was wrong for wanting whatever I wanted. I was a burden on others, I wasn't deserving, I was too flawed. Later it became that it not spiritual, it was ego.

But that's bullshit. The truth is, what you truly desire, in your heart, is the divine speaking to you. What you want is important shit. You gotta nurture and honor it. And make sure you go get what you want. That's why God gave you desires!

Walt Disney taught me that when you go after what you most want, that is actually when you're providing the most value to the world.

Watch the third video in the series now, to see what I'm talking about

And be sure to leave a comment!

Thank you, and a very merry Christmas.

Love,
-Calvin
