News from Simplero: First Order of Business

supermoon-medium.jpgLovely Simplerista,

It's been a week and it still looks like Trump's going to be the next president. The sun still rises, people get up and go to work each day, and almost everything is exactly as it was before. Except, of course, for the protests around the country.

I've been thinking a lot about this, as have many others. People are trying to see if they can change the electoral college. They're trying to see if they can get Trump impeached.

It's clear that a lot of people are scared. A number of the people who voted for Trump did so out of fear. People who protest against Trump are to a large extent doing so out of fear.

cohen-medium.jpgI think the number one thing that we can do to improve things in this country and around the world is to teach people how to deal with fear.

When you're in fear, you have very limited access to your resources. Parts of your brain shut down, and you get tunnel vision. You can't think clearly. You lose access to your bodymind and your intuition.

What you need to do first is recognize you're in fear, and then open up to it and breathe, instead of trying to hold your breath and shy away from it.

Breathe slowly and deeply. Focus on the present moment. Are you okay right now? Yes, you are. The fear comes from thoughts about an imaginary future. Forget that. Just focus on this moment. Right now, you're fine. It doesn't make any difference right this moment who the president is, or who the president-elect is. Makes no difference in this moment.

gaga-medium.jpgI like to remember that I'm going to die some day. A few years ago, when I was going through a divorce, I was completely broke, and there was a lot of drama going on, I'd sometimes wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, caught in fear. When I focused on the fact that some day I'm going to die, I found peace. What's the worst that could happen? That I die. Can I be okay with knowing I'm going to die? Yes. Good. End of story. Breathe, feel the fear, and be okay

The body is okay with fear. As soon as you start breathing, the fear turns into excitement. That's why people love roller coasters. It's just a very alive sensation in the body.

It's the mind that fucks with us. It's when we keep insisting on the thought that it's awful, or it's gonna be awful, that's when we can really whip ourselves up into a frenzy.

I've been afraid many many times. Most of what I was scared about never materialized. The things that did materialize turned out to be either nowhere near as bad as I thought, or actually pretty great!

I trust in the Universe. I believe that the one consciousness knows what it's doing. We're all here to have a human experience, to play with form.

Everything is exactly as it should be. It's the thought that it's not that causes the suffering.

Since 9/11, fear has run amok in America. The way back to sanity is for all of us to learn to cope with our fear, and to turn it into excitement, and then calm.

It starts right here, right now, with you and me.

Will you join me? Are you on board?

I sincerely hope so.

New Features in Simplero

We're just $1M shy of everyone using Simplero having turned over $40M in revenue. A pretty impressive number, if you ask me... shall we see how quickly we can reach the big 40?

With this many people now running their full-time businesses successfully on Simplero, actually having an idea of the future is a big help. So, today we've added a simple forecast to your purchases, where we tally up all the upcoming installments and subscription renewals and give you an indication, of what the next 12 months look like. Now, we can't predict the future no more than anyone else, so the numbers are based on the assumption that subscriptions keep renewing, so take the numbers for what they are: a forecast. Nevertheless, we hope it provides you with some useful insights.

You can find the new forecast by going to your purchases in the admin interface and clicking the "Forecast" button in the upper right hand corner:

The forecast will show you the estimated revenue per month, including the revenue for the current month that has not yet been charged. You can also click to see the individual estimated charges for a given month:
