News from Simplero: How to Get Started with Your Online Course Business

Hi Lovely Simplerista!

A question I get asked a lot is: How do I get started with my online course business. And I actually really like that question, because I've been there, and I have a very good answer, and it's not what most people do, but it's what works, and it's what's easiest.

The short answer is:

  • Go where the money is
  • Just do the sales page to begin with
  • Find one good affiliate

But go watch the video now, and let me know your experience in the comments.

Featured Customer Interview

This week we had the joy of talking to Ellany LeaEllany-Lea-original-normal.jpgAs Chief Reinventor, Ellany founded Reinvented, a haven for women overachievers, polymaths, entrepreneurs and founders to exhale, be real and feel enough. She's also a resiliency researcher, a writer and an illumination mentor – not to mention, an avid traveler:

I came from Multi-system chaos from Aweber (for mailing list) + 1shopping cart (for e-commerce) + SendOwl (for e-course delivery) and I still couldn't tag my clients without buying additional connector apps.

These days I write to my readers via Simplero. I deliver e-courses to my students via Simplero. I process all my client payments and auto-delivery of client materials via Simplero. There's nothing I don't do with Simplero!

New Features in Simplero

We know a lot of you use EverWebinar to host your regular webinars, so we've added an integration similar to our WebinarJam integration to let you easily insert auto-registration links into your emails. You set up the new integration by going to Setting > Integrations and following the instructions.

Random Links from around the Interwebs

This woman got ticketed for parking at 9.59:58 when there was no parking from 8-10. Her court proceeding is hilarious (and short). We could use a little more of that spirit in the government (and elsewhere).

Steve Jobs responds to an insult (oldie). Well played.

Bill O'Reilly freaks out. Oldie but goodie. Holy shit! :)

How they made the sound track for an old cartoon movie. Fascinating!

Lots of love,
Calvin
