Ciao, Lovely Simplerista,

A few days ago, it was a cold day out, but also really really beautiful, so I went for a run along the water. And whenever I do, I like to run all the way south until that point where you see the Statue of Liberty underneath the two bridges, Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge. It's a sight that makes me a little soft-hearted every time.

So today I was listening to some Louise Hay, and she was talking about forgiveness, and I felt called to take a moment right there to speak out loud to my beloved United States of America, and tell her that I forgive her for everything, and that I really love her, and want to be a part of her. At the same time, I took a moment to tell my native Denmark - in Danish, of course - that I love her as well, and am grateful for everything she's done for me, and that I forgive her for everything she's done that wasn't so much fun. And while I was at it, I took a moment to forgive myself. I think that's often the hardest and most important part - self-forgiveness.

When I got home, I was so cold, I took a long warm bubble bath in the bathtub with a beer and a good movie on my iPad. Felt great to be warmed up. And hence the subject line.
