Dear Lovely Simplerista

We've officially entered the 21st century with our very own blog at simplero.com/blog! Woot, woot, woot! Okay, there was a little irony there, but seriously, I'm excited about the new blog.

Yesterday, I wrote about an experience of turning fear into flow, arguably one of the most important skills you can learn.

And today, I wrote about what I learned from talking with Jason Fried at Basecamp about their recent restructuring, and what that means for you. I think there's a big opportunity for us info-marketers in thinking this way.

Latest from Simplero

We've made the interface yet flatter and better on mobile. We have more improvements to make in this area, but this week saw major improvement.

We've also introduced the ability to authenticate your emails, which will improve deliverability. See under Settings > Email domains.

Finally, we've introduced a new feature in the top-right corner, next to the support link. See if you can figure out what it is :)

And yes, it's only in the admin interface.

Random stuff

Here's something cool I came across this week:

My friend Nick Gray has this cool video in his footer. I thought that was such a genius way to make the email interaction with people a little more personal. I very well might steal it.

Phoebe and I did the MuseumHack tour last week at the Met, and it was great. I highly recommend it.

Also, I got an email from Joseph Jaworski that really touched my heart. Apparently I'd touched his. That's the beauty of love - it goes both ways, and impacts both the giver and the receiver to the point where you can't tell the difference.

He reminded me of the power of commitment. What are you committed to? Is there something that you need to commit to - or to recommit to?

Have a great rest of the week. I'm going to try and get back on a regular Wednesday schedule for these emails, so catch you next week.

With love,
-Calvin
